BTS has been inducted into the Guinness World Records Hall of Fame, the organization announced in a statement.

According to the website, the Guinness World Records Hall of Fame inducts the world’s “most iconic” Guinness World Records title holders.

It was reported that BTS holds many records, including “most streamed group on Spotify,” “most followed music group on Instagram,” “most Twitter engagements for a music group,” “most tickets sold for a live-streamed event (756,000)”.

Butter, the septet’s mega-hit single, broke five records in one day, including “most viewers for the premiere of a music video on YouTube” and “most played track on Spotify in the first 24 hours.” It also broke the record for “most watched YouTube music video in 24 hours”.

The publication praised the group for rekindling interest in Korean culture and raising awareness about issues such as self-love, self-acceptance, and mental health.

They received even more support from their followers, particularly on Twitter, because of their “positive attitude and openness to topics that are typically deemed taboo,” according to the statement. As for BTS’s capacity to have a good time, astound, and communicate through music and dancing movements, as well as their commitment to breaking records, that is unquestionably what distinguishes them as the ideal candidate for our Hall of Fame in 2022!
