The genre “Post-apocalytic horror” is completely newer to the then cinematic fans and some critics of the world. This 2002 movie “28 days later” set a new metric in a movie making, story, narration and cinematography. The raw, gritty and intimidating scenes/screenplay of the movie was a pathbreaking one for the makers and the lead an ‘Academy Awardee’, Cilian Murphy.
After the release of this cult apocalyptic zombie movie, many creators grabbed their inspiration from this movie and created their world of zombies like Shaun of the Dead, Black Sheep, Zombieland, and World War Z.
Theme of “28 days later”
The movie opens with a deserted city in UK due to the outbreak of a virus which transform a human into an uncontrollable creature. There, the lead character Jim wakes after 28 days of the diffusion. The one line of the movie is itself looks so threatening and it gets more complicated when the movie goes further with the Jim’s navigation to find a shelter in an infected rouge city. Isolation, Survival, Horror, and Apocalypse are the pivotal themes in which the whole movie has been weaved around.

“28 Years Later” – Will they survive?
The makers of this franchise gave a surprising updates for the sequel movie which is titled “28 Years Later” with the return of the former lead Cilian Murphy with the new leads Aaron Taylor, Jodie Comer, which is going to premier globally the next year. The setting of the sequel will be after the plot line of ‘28 weeks laters’ with few survivors who are trapped in a creepy and miserable environment.
The official release date of “28 Years Later” in other countries like Philippines and others has not yet been revealed officially.
