
As part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the sixth Emirati humanitarian aid ship is headed to the Egyptian city of Arish where the aid will be transferred before being sent to Gaza today. The ship is loaded with 5,800 tonnes of humanitarian supplies, such as food, shelter materials and medical necessities. The effort shows the UAE’s steadfast dedication to provide the Palestinian people in Gaza the critical support they need.
Aid Donations:
H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak called “Mother of the Nation,” Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation has generously donated to the aid that sailed today.
Along with that donations from the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, Dar Al Ber Society and Sharjah Charity International also made the 5,800 tonnes of aid possible.
The greatest phase of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 which is being carried out in Gaza at the direction of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is concurrent with this relief. With a truce declared, the operation has stepped up efforts to satisfy pressing demands.
Other Projects:
The UAE has started a number of projects as part of the relief effort such as setting up five automated bakeries and two field hospitals. One within Gaza and one floating hospital off the coast of Arish. Additionally 37 community kitchens in Gaza have received support and flour has been given to nine already existing bakeries. More than 600,000 people benefit from the two million gallons of water produced daily by the six desalination plants that have been constructed.

Additionally 53 humanitarian airdrops to remote parts of Gaza without access to aid were successfully completed during the operation. As part of the Operation Birds of Goodness campaign, these drops sent 3,700 tonnes of humanitarian aid and supplies. In addition to 15 ambulances, the medical sector has received more than 700 tonnes of medical supplies, medications and equipment. Additionally four sewer tankers and eight water tankers were given to the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility.
