KUALA LUMPUR  – A Malaysian mother found a creative way to discipline her children at home amidst the Covid-19 Movement Control Order (MCO).

Nurafiza Nadzirah Razali posted on Facebook a clever way to come up with a reward system for her two sons at home.

She made a list of chores for her kids and pays them salaries on every completed task they had accomplished.

The list of chores includes cleaning up the house and cleaning up their toys for RM50 each,   two hours of nap time for 100RM and RM150 for studying.

Nurafiza also opened a “mini mart” at home for her kids to spend the money to. Her three and six year old sons uses their earnings to buy snacks at her mini mart whice operates from 10am to 8pm. She uses fake Malaysian money  in these transactions.

According to Nurafiza, she made all of this since her husband is working in the telecommunication sector which leaves her to take care of the kids on her own most of the time.

“I have to take care of both of them and things tend to get chaotic  sometimes.”

Nurafiza said that because of this system, both of her children were now more willing to do their chores. Her Facebook post had gained over 15,000 likes on Facebook.
