Malaysia – As previously reported, Lee Zii Jia, the national number one men’s singles shuttler, has partnered with Taiwanese sports equipment firm Victor.
Victor and Zii Jia, the world number seven, announced the cooperation on their Instagram pages, but did not provide any other specifics about the deal.
Hello, @leeziijia, and welcome back to the Victor family. Victor is excited to announce the continuation of his partnership with the Malaysian ace.
“We can’t wait to make even more memories together in the years to come,” Victor expressed his excitement.
While waiting for the results, Zii Jia, a 23-year-old student, expressed her admiration for Victor’s expertise and determination. “In addition, their confidence and assistance (sic) make me feel at ease.”

The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) signed a six-year contract with Victor in 2015, bringing an end to a 15-year collaboration with the famed Japanese brand Yonex. The arrangement is worth RM60 million. In a strange coincidence, Zii Jia’s meteoric ascent to prominence started at the period when Victor was BAM‘s sponsor.
BAM, on the other hand, returned to Yonex by signing an RM55 million contract that would run from April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2026.
Victor is also now supporting Taiwan’s world number one women’s singles player Tai Tzu Ying, Indonesia’s Mohammad Ahsan-Hendra Setiawan, the world number two men’s doubles combination Mohammad Ahsan-Hendra Setiawan, and Denmark‘s BA in the men’s singles.
Zii Jia, who came to public attention earlier this year after resigning from BAM to pursue a career in badminton equipment, was said to have received a multi-million ringgit offer from a badminton equipment company.
In the wake of helping China win the Badminton Asia Team Championships 2022 over the weekend, Zii Jia is anticipated to begin his professional career in the German Open from March 8-13, before defending his All England title from March 16-20 in the United Kingdom.
