UAE sends aid plane to Thailand

ABU DHABI – UAE, one of the top countries in the world that is constantly sending medical aid all over the world has done another remarkable achievement in spreading it’s generosity by sending an aid plane that was carrying 11 metric tons of medical supplies to Thailand just yesterday.

Doing so would greatly help to bolster Thailand’s efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19. A total of approximately 11,000 medical professionals in Thailand would be supported by this aid as they continue to work hard to contain the virus that is spreading in their country.

As of June 2020, the UAE has responded to the COVID-19 global crisis by providing over more than 956 metric tons of aid to 68 different countries, which is then able to support more than 956,000 medical professionals.

Saif Abdullah Mohammed Al Shamsi, the UAE Ambassador to Thailand further comments that the UAE and Thailand have long enjoyed distinguished historical bilateral relations for nearly 45 years. This relations is then characterized by the longstanding friendship, political consensus and strong cooperation in various fields and industy. He also added regarding the aid that the dispatch of medical assistance that was sent further confirms the keenness of the UAE leadership to develop relations at all levels with Thailand, especially in the field of health and prevention, and support the efforts of medical personnel to contain the pandemic. It furthers cements the status a generous nation, not only in the Middle East but in the whole world
