The United Nations General Assembly issued a resolution on October 13, 2022, condemning Russia’s “illegal so-called referendums” in regions within Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders and demanding that Russia rescind its annexation announcement.
Cambodia, Myanmar, Singapore, the Philippines, and Indonesia supported the resolution, whereas Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam abstained.
