The Childe, a stylish Korean crime thriller from writer-director Park Hoon-jung (Night in Paradise), stars K-drama hero Kim Seon-ho (Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha). K-drama heartthrob Kim Seon-ho steals the show with his impeccable acting skills.

The Childe has an IMDb rating of 8.9/10. The film, distributed by Next Entertainment World, consists of action and adventure. It was released on June 21, 2023. It was supposed to be released in Korea and the Philippines. However, the film will now be released in 34 countries.

Kang Tae-ju, a South Korean actor and model, played an important role in the movie. He plays the role of Marco, who earns a basic living in the Philippines. He also takes responsibility for his ill mother. Suddenly, he finds out that his father is the chairman of a powerful business empire in South Korea and has summoned him to Seoul, the capital of South Korea. Later on, he learns that his half-brother Han (Kim Kang-woo) wants to use him as an organ donor to save his father’s life and secure the biggest business empire.

The half-Korean and half-Filipino fighter is embroiled in a violent battle for control of one of Korea’s most prominent chaebol, or family-run enterprises.

Kim Seon-ho is an antagonist in the film. The action film also marks his return to the showbiz industry after nearly two years. In this film, he brings genuine humour and personality, making the character sympathetic.

The film swiftly reverts to the horrific clichés of so many Korean crime thrillers, showcasing stories about disconnected sociopaths fighting one another in a never-ending display of deception.

The Childe will be released in the Philippines on July 5, 2023. The film has already debuted at No. 3 at the box office in South Korea. The film earned $483,183 from 966 screens on June 21.
