All attendees wore face masks in compliance with the COVID-19 prevention rules and maintained the necessary healthy distance between each other. This was followed by Bambang Soesatyo, Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), reading out Pancasila’s five points, and La Nyalla Mattalitti, Speaker of the Regional Representative Council (DPD), reading out the 1945 Constitution preamble.
Speaker Puan Maharani of the House of Representatives (DPR) later read out and signed the pledge to continuously uphold Pancasila ‘s national philosophy as the pillar of the state. Therefore, we remain determined before God to defend and practice the principles of Pancasila, as the source of strength, and promote unity to fight for truth and justice for the nation, in order to commemorate Pancasila Sanctity Day, ”Maharani said.
Muhadjir Effendy, the Coordinating Minister of Human Development and Culture, ended the ceremony by offering a prayer. The president, vice president, and all high-ranking officials paid a visit to many locations at the Pancasila Sakti Monument prior to leaving the site.
