An illegal drug trafficking, trading, transporting and storing narcotics case in Vietnam which has been prosecuted by the Supreme People’s Procuracy against the 35 defendants has been proven by the investigators. It is reported that these drugs were smuggled from Cambodia and distributed in Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Nam Dinh, Hanoi, and neighbouring areas in Vietnam. In which, the role of one of the notorious Drug Lord of Vietnam Oanh Ha is predominant.
Who is Oanh Ha?
Oanh Ha is said to be a notorious Drug Lord of the criminal world in Vietnam and she has been convicted & been in and out of the prison for multiple times. She is the older sister of Dung Ha, a former gang leader in Hai Phong.
Death Penalty for Oanh Ha
On December 26, the People’s Procuracy of Ho Chi Minh City proposed the highest sentence of crime ‘death penalty’ for the 67 years old Oanh Ha for being involved in the illegal drug trafficking. Since, Oanh Ha did not admit her guilt of illegal drug trafficking of 626kg of drugs.
Including, Ms.Oanh, Nguyen Van Nam, Nguyen Anh Bao Quoc, Luong Thi Thu Huyen and her 27 accomplices were sentenced to pay fines ranging from 30 million to 200 million for one of the crimes of buying, selling, transporting, and illegally possessing drugs, five other defendants were proposed for life sentence and two were proposed for twenty years imprisonment by the People’s Procuracy.
Indictments Against Oanh Ha
- Ms.Oanh is reportedly recruiting gangsters for transporting the drugs illegally from the Golden Triangle area to Vietnam.
- A total amount of 6.4 tons of illegal drugs has been transported from Cambodia through 129 gearboxes (each containing 50 kg of drugs).
