Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha announced that all laws and all articles will be enforced against protestors who breach the constitution. In a statement released from his office, in the face of street protests by pro-democracy demonstrators demanding his resignation, as well as reform of the monarchy and he’s serious about giving notice.

He highlighted the government and different organizations had sought, following legal protocols, to find a diplomatic way out of the crisis. The crisis, however, has shown no indication of improving, despite the government displaying its sincerity in solving the problems, the premier said, adding that security services have done their job in preserving law and order and coping with protests in compliance with international norms with the utmost concern.

The circumstance does not ease in a positive way, and confrontation continues to intensify with more violence. If not handled, this could affect the nation and the cherished organization, as well as the safety and protection of the lives and property of individuals. In order to escalate their acts by upholding all rules and articles, the government and security forces need to take measures against protesters who violate the law and have little regard for other people’s rights.

In view of this, The statement did not clarify whether this action would require the use of the lese majeste rule, Section 112 of the Penal Code, which bans offending the monarchy and includes a heavy jail term. Gen Prayuth said the rule was not used earlier this year at the request of His Majesty the King.

It’s non-stop as during their enormous rally on night, several thousands of pro-democracy demonstrators descended on Ratchaprasong intersection, again declaring their demands for the resignation of the prime minister, charter change and royal institution overhaul.
