KUALA LUMPUR – As of 6.30pm today, Water supply has been restored to 811 areas affected by the unscheduled water disruption in the Klang Valley.
Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) Corporate Communications head, Elina Baseri said that only 481 areas are remaining and currently in the process of being restored.
Baseri said that consumers who got their water supply back are encouraged to use it prudently as to ensure the restoration process for the remaining areas will run smoothly and on-time to the recovery plan schedule.

The highest water supply resumption is recorded at Kuala Selangor with 99.2%, followed by Hulu Selangor at 94.1% while Gombak at 66.4%, Petaling at 66.1%, Kuala Langat at 50%, Kuala Lumpur at 41% and Shah Alam at 24.2% respectively.
Air Selangor also assured its consumers that the quality of water being supplied is safe as it meets the standards of the Health Ministry. On the other note, Air Selangor denied a message circulating on several social media sites that rationing exercise will be carried out and that the water is unsafe for consumption.
