It’s been three long days waiting for the second season of All of Us Are Dead, and we still don’t know when the Netflix zombie series will return. With that long of a wait, it hurts my heart even more. While All of Us Are Dead was not the first K-drama featuring zombies, it brought something new—quirky characters, gushing action, and a good storyline that kept me hooked in my first viewing.
All of Us Are Dead is difficult to replace. Other zombie and monster shows have threaded the sphere of K-dramas in the long run, but none have provided that same rare twist that was captured by the hit show of 2022. Some like Sweet Home get pretty close but neither touched that magical spot. Hence seeing Newtopia, Jisoo’s new K-drama, filled me with excitement. While it is completely dissimilar to All of Us Are Dead, I can still take it as a sign of raw excitement, as when I first saw the Netflix series.
