In its ‘Wonderlust” event in Cupertino, California, on Tuesday, Apple unveiled the iPhone 15 series (iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max), in addition to the Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2.
In a press release, the tech giant boasted of the more personal and intuitive experience one can have with the iPhone 15 series. The unveiled items feature iOS 17, which delivers a number of updates including a new app to help users reflect and practice gratitude through journaling.
iOS 17 also lures in improvements to autocorrect, pet recognition in Photos, greater protection for Private Browsing in Safari and password and passkey sharing with iCloud Keychain. Additionally, the new iPhone series has been designed with the environment in mind.
iPhone 15 Series Is Better For The Environment
As the company works towards its 2030 goal of making every product carbon neutral, it’s prioritising clean electricity across the supply chain and designing products with recycled and other low-carbon materials. Moreover, over 99% of the packaging is fibre-based.
It means the company is gradually getting closer to its objective of eradicating plastic from its packaging by 2025. The iPhone 15 starts at $799 for a 128 GB model, with the iPhone 15 Plus debuting at $899 for a 128 GB version. They come with a 6.1- and 6.7-inch screen, respectively.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro is priced starting at $999 for a 128 GB model and the Pro Max version at $1,199 with 256 GB of storage. Along with a redesigned GPU, Apple seems to believe these devices could be poised to level up the kinds of games you can play on your phone.

Other Highlights From The Apple Event 2023
Interestingly, an ‘Action Button’ has replaced the ring/silent switch, with the new feature allowing customisation to run shortcuts, open the camera, turn on the flashlight and bring up accessibility features. The other highlights from the event include the Apple Watch Series 9.
To be available starting at $399, Watch Series 9 features the S9 SiP, Apple’s most powerful watch chip yet. While its battery life remains ‘unchanged’, the smartwatch’s GPU is 30% faster. Moreover, Apple has also enabled Siri requests for Watch Series 9 on the smartwatch itself.
Apple Watch Ultra 2 will be available at $799. Some of its features are similar to those in Watch Series 9. Additionally, its packed in a case with 99% recycled titanium and comes with up to 36 hours of battery life. The product can be used for up to 72 hours when in low-power mode.
