Property developers are opting for online channels and applications to sell residential units and provide services to customers, while minimising possible risks from coronavirus infections.
Vittakarn Chandavimol, chief of corporate strategy and creation for SET-listed developer AP Thailand, said the company has applied technological adaptations to working processes and customer services. “We’re using online channels such as live streaming through Facebook and Line, where customers can view units without visiting the sales gallery at the site,” he said.
Piti Jarukamjorn, executive vice-president of condominium project development and strategic project management at SET-listed developer Sansiri, said the company launched “Sansiri 24 online booking” as a new marketing strategy to respond to existing demand. “The online channel facilitates customers. They can book units online 24 hours a day, without leaving their homes,” he said.
Pruksa Real Estate also joined the online stampede, using Facebook Live for customers to view projects or units. Customers can buy a unit at the company website or through an e-commerce platform partnership with Shopee. Sales staff use phone calls and Line to present units to customers.
Home renovation materials distributor Home Product Centre (HomePro) has also shifted to online channels.
Following the government-ordered lockdown, HomePro temporarily shut down stores nationwide.
HomePro launched a new service, Shop4you, on the Line application where customers can capture pictures of products and send in their orders.
