On Friday, around 10.32 am the capital city of Bangladesh, Dhaka & the northeastern state city of Sylhet and the epicenter of Myanmar has felt the sudden earthquake with the magnitude of 5. The given information states that there isn’t much damage recorded. The Earthquake Observation and Research Center of the Meteorological Department, in-charge Rubayet Kabir said that the impact of the earthquake has been felt across various parts of the country.
From the town of Fakh in the southeastern Indian state of Nagaland the epicenter of the earthquake has been observed in Myanmar which is 128 kilometers away. The Bangladesh Meteorological Department stated that the distance from the epicenter of the earthquake to the capital city is 531 kilometers. The earthquake magnitude of 5 is also felt in Sylhet which is reported to the media officially by the Assistant director Shah Mohammmad Sajeeb Hossain of Sylhet Meteorological Department.
