PUTRAJAYA – The current weeklong school holiday has been extended until March 31 to curb movement of people, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Ismail Sabri advised families to stay put wherever they were as the Movement Control Order (MCO) came into force to remain there until March 31. He’s also urging the people not to return to Kuala Lumpur any time before that date.

“So our order is for parents who are with their children during the holidays to continue staying on in their kampung until March 31,” He said in an interview.

Malaysia is currently implementing  a “Movement Control Order” from Wednesday (March 18) to March 31 to minimise movement of people during the RMO period. Many Malaysians were unaware of the order and decided to go back to their respective home towns causing massive movements and creating risk for Covid-19 to spread.
