Covid-19: King tells Malaysians ‘Play your part, we shall prevail”

KUALA LUMPUR – The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has urged Malaysians to play their part and adhere to the the Movement Control Order issued by the Prime Minister Muhyiddin.

In a live telecast, The King has reminded the public to stay at home if there were no necessity and to cancel plans to attend gatherings in efforts to lessen the spread of the virus.

“I also urge you to cancel your plans to balik kampung. I also advise the parents of the groom and bride to postponed the wedding receptions until conditions improve.”

The Agong also reassures the public that there is enough supply of necessities and avoid spreading fake news that would cause panic among its people.

He also urged encourage the public to practice proper hygiene by washing the hands regularly, using sanitizers, face masks and social distancing. The 14-day Movement Control Order will be effective until the end of the month (March 31)
