Extraction 2 is an upcoming American action thriller film to be released on Netflix. It is a sequence of the 2020 film Extraction. The film is produced by Chris Hemsworth, Sam Hargrave, Patrick Newall, Mike Larocca, Joe Russo, and Anthony Russo. Sam Hargrave has directed the film.
The cast of Extraction 2 includes Chris Hemsworth, Olga Kurylenko, Justin Howell, Sinead Phelps, Golshifteh Farahani, Daniel Bernhardt, Tinatin Dalakishvili, Tako Tabatadze, Adam Bessa, Jenn Kirk and Tornike Bziava. It is based on the novel Ciudad by Ande Parks, Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Fernando León González, and Eric Skillman.
Chris Hemsworth is in the Philippines
Recently, Chris Hemsworth came to the Philippines to promote Extraction 2 in the country. He met his Filipino fans at the SM MOA Music Hall on 5 June. Sam Hargrave also praised Chris Hemsworth during the event. He said, “He (Chris) is so collaborative and knowledgeable about story-telling, writing and when to put the camera.” Chris also talked about his role as Tyler Rake in the film. He reportedly did his own action sequence in the film.
Earlier, Joe Russo said, “It’s very different from ‘Extraction 1’, which we like. It’s its own movie in that regard.”
Chris plays the role of Tyler Rake, who is on a high-stakes mission. In the first part of the film, he put his life at risk to rescue or extract the son of an incarcerated drug lord. He was presumed dead. However, the sequel will see him come back from the dead for another mission.
