As the extension of community quarantine in the Philippines continues, many people are in need of delivery services when they can’t get out of their homes to purchase their necessary needs.

As a helpful resolution for this, GRAB is now serving another service to help their consumers. Grab has GrabMart introduced. Grab has provided a compromise with the restrictions and constraints related to the COVID-19 situation that will make it easier to access essential needs given the increased group quarantine.

Users will purchase food, personal care items, and soon even medications from specialty stores and well-known retail partners including Robinsons, Supermarket, Great Deals Ecommerce Company, FamilyMart,

Starbucks at Home, ASSI Fresh Plaza, Fetch via GrabMart! For example Naturals, Dog Town, and Barcino. GrabMart is one of the few app-based supermarket providers that deliver on demand, meaning that orders are likely to be fulfilled as early as 30 minutes or within a couple of hours.

GrabMart BETA is currently available in selected areas of Quezon City, Pasig, Manila, Mandaluyong, Makati, San Juan, Valenzuela, Paranaque and Taguig, but will soon be expanding to more Metro Manila locations in the weeks to come.

Like GrabFood and GrabExpress, cash payments are still available but users are encouraged to pay for safer payments and transactions through GrabPay and practice Contactless Delivery. During the Beta era, delivery fees vary from as low as P89 to P149 depending on distance to the shop, with a fixed P30 service charge applicable for all orders.

This helps not only customers who need access to the everyday needs, but also our suppliers and traders whose livelihoods and businesses are affected by the situation It also shows the willingness of the real time heroes – grab drivers with their continuous work.
