H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed announces the launch of the Smart Mission project

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, has initiated the “Smart Mission” project, which is the first forward-thinking project of its sort anywhere in the world.

In accordance with the “We the UAE 2031” vision, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs intends to provide customers with an easy and all-encompassing service procedure at the country’s embassies located around the world through the implementation of this project.

Also, the project intends to put into action the vision of the leadership of the UAE in order to realize the goals of the UAE Centennial 2071 and to do so in a manner that is congruent with the Principles of the 50 and the UAE Strategy for Government Services 2021-2025.

Sheikh Abdullah was shown the project’s maquette, which had been developed at the ministry’s headquarters. Sheikh Abdullah was also given a presentation on the ways in which the project had benefited from the use of artificial intelligence (AI).

The Smart Mission project enables consumers to profit from proactive consular services via the use of facial recognition technology. Also, the project permits direct interactions without the involvement of human interaction through the use of 3D and hologram technologies.

The project includes a number of services, including the issue and authentication of return documents, certificates addressed to “To Whom It May Concern,” and a variety of additional consular services.

The Smart Mission project supports the UAE’s key national policies and is aligned with the Year of Sustainability that the UAE is celebrating.
