
HORI has unveiled a collection of officially licensed accessories for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 which will release on June 5, 2025. Some of the new products include game card cases and a special USB camera inspired by the evergreen Piranha Plant character in the Mario series.
Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa spoke of the huge demand for the Nintendo Switch 2 with 2.2 million requests in Japan. Not everyone will get a console in the first lottery but losers will be rolled over to a second round. Production is being increased and reservations start April 24.
