In a dazzling turn of events, Singapore is poised to host auditions that could pave the way for the next K-pop sensations. YG Entertainment, the illustrious South Korean agency responsible for BIGBANG and Blackpink‘s stardom, is extending its global auditions to the Lion City, offering aspiring artists a golden ticket to fame.
From November 14 to 16, Orchard Central Mall will be the epicenter of dreams as hopeful talents audition in the hopes of becoming the next Jennie or Lisa. Yet, the road to K-pop glory is not a straightforward one.
Firstly, prospective stars must take the pivotal step of pre-registering before November 5. Once this vital task is completed, they await an email from YG Entertainment, unfolding the details of their individual auditions.
Aspiring idols can showcase their talents in distinct categories:
– Vocal
– Rap
– Dance
– Appearance
Of course, there’s a twist: candidates must meet a specific age requirement, having been born between 2004 and 2012. Parental consent becomes a crucial necessity for those aged under 14.
This vibrant audition tour is not confined to Singapore alone. In December, it will continue its exhilarating journey to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, offering a life-changing shot at stardom. Earlier YG global auditions have acted as the launchpad for K-pop megastars, with Blackpink’s Rose earning the top spot in Sydney in 2012, and Lisa emerging as the sole qualifier in Thailand back in 2010.
For the dreamers, the believers, and the aspiring stars, this is more than an audition. It’s an opportunity to etch your name in the bright lights of K-pop history. Don’t miss your chance to sparkle on the global stage.
