
The International Cricket Council has adopted a hybrid model for Champions Trophy 2025. On December 19, the ICC confirmed proposals for cricket matches featuring India and Pakistan to be played in neutral countries if the tournament is hosted by the opposing nation.
In recent months, the Indian Cricket Board had made their stance clear to not send the team to Pakistan for the Cricket tournament. Instead, India’s matches are going to be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai Sports City.
The Champions Trophy is one of the most prestigious cricket tournaments globally. It adopts a One Day International format, letting each side play a fixed number of 50 overs. Besides India and Pakistan, England, Bangladesh and Australia are also playing.

The official schedule is yet to be announced. But the original plans for the tournament suggest it is going to be organised from February 19 to March 9 next year. This is set to be the first time since 2017 that the Champions Trophy is going to be played.
