The second tier professional football in Japan ‘J2 League’ which is operating under the J.League system is all set to kick off officially on Feb 15, 2025 at 2 pm in Japan. The league consists of 20 teams who play home and away round-robin format and the two teams who top the table will get the chance to participate in the J1 league.
Montedio Yamagata the member of the Meiji Yasuda J2 League will open this season with the aim of winning the title and to secure their spot in the most prestigious J1 League. The new team has begun their training over a month and they have been holding camps in Shizuoka and Kagoshima since Jan 13. This is the third season for manager Watanabe Shin who took charge of the team.
“We spend every day trying to win. Wee train to win. We enter the stadium to win. I hope we can show the people of the prefecture that we will win a lot and express the feeling of Yamagata as one” said manager Watanabe Shin.
