Jimin’s “Like Crazy” reaches No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs list, becoming his first leader and the first for a member of the South Korean superstar pop group BTS. Moreover, he is the first South Korean solo artist to top the chart.

With five versions available during the chart’s tracking week, “Like Crazy’s” Hot 100 debut was entirely influenced by sales. The track was released on March 24 as part of Jimin’s debut solo album FACE, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The Hot 100 combines U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay, and sales data across all musical genres. Tomorrow, all charts (dated April 8, 2023) will be updated on Billboard.com. Follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on Twitter and Instagram for all chart-related news.

In its first week, “Like Crazy” sold a total of 254,000 song downloads and CD singles and had 10 million streams and 64,000 radio airplay audience impressions.

The song’s original version, sung in Korean, and its English version were released on March 24; its “Deep House” and “UK Garage” mixes and an instrumental version arrived on March 26; all were available in BTS‘ webstore and at wide retail for 69 cents each; a CD single of the original mix was available for $1.99 in BTS’ webstore. (In Billboard’s charts, all versions are combined into one listing.)

The sales total for “Like Crazy” is the biggest in a single week since Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero” sold 328,000 copies on November 19, 2022, thanks to the release of seven remixes during the tracking week.

“Like Crazy” debuted at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart, where it marks Jimin’s third No. 1 and at No. 35 on the Streaming Songs chart, where he made his debut. It has received a handful of early plays on Radio Songs reporters KIIS Los Angeles, KJYO Oklahoma City, Okla., KYLD San Francisco and WSNX Grand Rapids, Mich., all of which also contribute to the Pop Airplay chart and are owned by iHeartMedia, in addition to Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart panelist KNHC Seattle.
