The premiere of Julia Barretto’s newest movie, Expensive Candy, took place on September 14 of this year, and the actress admits that she is more ecstatic than anybody else about the picture. In the movie, Julia plays a teenage sex worker who is aptly named Candy. This part, which represents Julia’s journey into one of her most daring acting roles to date, is portrayed by the 25-year-old actress. Naturally, the actress has been keeping herself quite busy marketing her movie by doing things like having a sexy photoshoot in a barely-there LBD that has caused a commotion on the internet.
More recently, Julia portrayed her character Candy when she visited the broadcast network ALLTV to promote her movie, and she looked very lovely in the process!
KT Landingin and celebrity stylist Cath Sobrevega collaborated to design an outfit for Julia that was influenced by the Barbiecore aesthetic. The lovely baby pink dress with a beaded bow embellishment in black was designed by Filipino fashion designer Lauren Vito, and was worn by the actress. We have no doubt that Barbie would do something just like this!

The dress had a tube-style bodice that drew attention to Julia’s shoulders and décolletage, and it flared out into a modest A-line silhouette at the bottom. A pair of translucent black stockings and a pair of sharp black stilettos are two additional elements that help Julia ace the Barbiecore look.
The actress went for an understated look when it came to her accessories, deciding to wear nothing but a pair of diamond stud earrings instead of any other jewelry.
There’s no way you can overlook the glitz and glamor, of course! Bee Buangan gave Julia’s hair a neat high ponytail with a side-swept front while her go-to makeup artist Denise Ochoa gave her a soft pink look complete with flushed cheeks and glossy lips. Bee Buangan is Julia’s hair stylist. The actress, in general, resembled a doll that had been brought to life.
