Klook, Asia’s travel and experiences platform, announced that it is seeing robust recovery in Thailand, with growth that has more than quadrupled for three consecutive quarters, highlighting the company’s strong momentum and dedication to driving Thailand’s tourist revival.
With the elimination of travel restrictions and the reopening of all borders, interest in Thailand as a tourist destination continues to increase significantly; it is now one of the top three most frequented destinations for the company worldwide. The organization also found a 30% increase in the average passenger expenditure on experiences in 2023, indicating that travelers are prepared to spend more on real and meaningful experiences in Thailand. Eric Gnock Fah, COO & Co-Founder of Klook, stated, “Klook’s extraordinary success in Thailand, a major destination for us, demonstrates the importance of travel and the value it brings to the Thai economy. We are ecstatic to be a part of Thailand’s continued efforts to encourage tourism and promote meaningful travel. We are devoted to our aim of drawing millions of visitors to Thailand, and we look forward to exhibiting the finest that Thailand has to offer to tourists worldwide.”
Through a first-of-its-kind multi-market relationship with the Tourist Administration of Thailand, Klook is elevating its commitment to the next level (TAT). The cooperation intends to attract more tourists from important markets to Thailand and highlight the country’s finest attractions. Seven markets, including Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Taiwan, will be included in the agreement, which will target free and independent (FIT) millennials.
Eric Gnock Fah, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Klook, remarked, “We are thrilled to work with the Tourist Authority of Thailand in our first-ever multi-market strategic alliance. We wish to provide visitors with the opportunity to connect deeply with Thailand’s rich culture through happy and genuine encounters. As an increasing number of tourists plan travels to Thailand, we look forward to making their journeys memorable.”
Using the brand’s digital skills, large user base, and regional presence, Klook will create and promote interesting digital content centered on Thailand’s tourism products in order to attract new consumers. This will emphasize two essential aspects of Thai tourism, namely 5F Soft Power and the significance of having meaningful travel experiences. As an official partner of TAT’s “Visit Thailand Year: Incredible New Chapters” initiative, Klook is also committed to supporting and contributing to TAT’s goals of increasing visitor arrivals in 2023, guaranteeing that tourists may experience the finest of the destination on its platform.
The Let Your Journey Be Thai campaign will mark the beginning of Klook’s cooperation with TAT. The regional campaign will emphasize unique and endearing Thai activities and experiences, generating travel inspiration and intent from markets like as Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Taiwan. In accordance with Thailand’s 5F Soft Power foundations (Food, Film, Festival, Fight, and Fashion), Klook will also generate material to showcase this and important travel experiences, delivering items that promote 5F foundations such as Songkran and highly-rated restaurants.
This year, Klook will also offer deals to encourage travelers interested in traveling to Thailand.
