Prominent former footballer Patrick Kluivert from the Netherlands is set to sign as the head coach of the Indonesia national team, replacing South Korea’s Shin Tae-yong. He is stepping into an independent coaching role after a significant break.

Fabrizio Romano informed on X that the presentation is going to take place on January 12 in Indonesia and that the agreement includes 2 years and 2 years option. Kluivert aims to build on Indonesia’s recent football progress.

The Dutch footballer’s primary goal is going to be helping Indonesia qualify for the 2026 Cup. Since retiring as a player, he has taken on many coaching roles. His most notable position has been of a sporting director at Paris Saint-Germain.
