The world is getting ready to welcome the upcoming new year which is arriving after a few hours and many nations are preparing themselves to maintain the law and order and the traffic regulations to avoid unexpected accidents. On Tuesday, the Senior Commissioner of Police, Ade Ary Syam, represented the media and talked about the traffic and the areas which might cause disturbances during the New Year Eve.
“The Metro Jaya Police and the Polres Jajaran anticipate potential public order disturbances early on by mapping potential vulnerabilities that arise.
Cooperation from all parties and active participation of the community are needed to create a conducive public order and security climate” said Ade Ary.
“If there are community activities that are disruptive and pose a threat to lives and public order, our officers will take repressive measures preceded by preemptive and preventive measures”, he added.
A complete list of closed roads during the New Year Eve in Jakarta has been unveiled by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. And these road closures will be implemented at 18.00 WIB on December 31, 2024 to 2.00 WIB on January 1, 2025.
