The Melaka International Halal Festival 2024 aims to turn the city as the prime center of the Halal products and the global destination for Halal tourism. Because the demand for the Halal products has been rising globally. This year the festival began on December 20,2024 and will last till December 22, from 10 am to 10 pm. The collection of colorful and cultural culinary products, dishes, seminars and other programs are organised to promote the business of Melaka.
“This festival will involve 300 exhibitors from home and abroad, as well as halal industry players from 19 countries, including ASEAN countries such as the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam” said the Chairman of State Education, Higher Education and Religious Affairs Committee, Datuk Rahmad Mariman.
“The festival also plays a role in introducing Melaka in conjunction with the World Tourism Day 2025 celebration and Visit Malaysia Year 2024, while also attracting both local and international tourists”, he added.
In addition to this, the Chief Minister of Melaka, Datuk Seri Utama underscored the ongoing successful business of halal products with the Muslim tourists who sail in the Genting Dreams Cruise, which also stops at Melaka.
“Halal does not only involve food, but also includes tourism, industry, health and many more that can be branded as halal products” said CM Datuk Seri on Friday at the press conference.
The estimated aim to generate the income during these three festivals is RM1.8 million, as per the sources mentioned on the official website named Halal Times.
