METRO MANILA – The government has finally eased up on the much controversial motorcycle barrier requirement for riders living in the same house.

According to the Joint Task Force COVID Shield on Tuesday that the National task force for Covid-19 has approved new and more relaxed guidelines in motorcycle backriding.

However, areas under GCQ will still required riders not living under the same house to use the Angkas designed barrier.

JTF also reiterated that Motorcycle to be used should be privately owned.

On the much more relaxed modified general community quarantine, local governments has given the authority to implement the guidelines based on the situation in their area.

This new policy will take effect starting tomorrow, August 19, 2020. President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, announced that Metro Manila and nearby provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal revert back to GCQ starting Wednesday until the end of August.
