NewJeans, a South Korean girl group formed by ADOR composed of five members: Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein, have successfully wrapped up first-week sales for their 2nd mini album ‘Get Up‘ with around 1.65 million copies sold.
As per Hanteo Chart on July 28, NewJeans becomes 2nd girl K-pop group in Hanteo history to reach 1.65 million album sales in first-week.
K-pop group NewJeans received immense popularity with their debut last year due to their girl next door image and their R&B songs inspired by the 1990s music. Their first single was “Attention.” It ranked number one on South Korea’s Circle Digital Chart. Their “Hype Boy” and “Cookie” featured on their eponymous debut extended play.
This year, they released their first single album OMG. They also released “Ditto,” which gained immense popularity, becoming the longest-running number-one song on the Circle Digital Chart.
Their OMG album sold 700,000 copies in the first week, while ‘Get Up’ got 1.65 million copies sold in the first week. On the day of release of ‘get up’, nearly 1.2 million copies were sold.

The group will reportedly perform at ‘Lollapalooza 2023’ in Chicago on 3 August.
