After bad online attacks on Minji Han-ji, Danielle Haerin and Hyein the group created protective risk detection systems and hired more attorneys for increased protection. Their attention focused on personal attacks and online misbehavior targeted at group members through different social networking services.

Deepfake videos create significant challenges by displaying false sexual videos of NewJeans group members. ADOR demands law enforcement action against only one accused person.
NewJeans and ADOR maintain their legal issues since the group decided to terminate their contracts in 2024. In March 2025 the Seoul Central District Court granted ADOR an initial victory over the group members who tried to cancel their management contracts for poor performance.
The group operates as NJZ because of their lawsuit against court decisions and their need to pause all public appearances before getting a permanent legal outcome.
