Pahang civil servants take a pay cut for Covid-19 funds

KUANTAN – Pahang civil servants are ready to take a salary cut for two months to contribute to  those affected by the movement control order, says State Secretary Datuk Seri Dr Sallehuddin Ishak.

He said that estimated 10,000 civil servants are united to do their part and served those severly affected by the spread of Covid-19 such as food sellers, hawkers and other daily wage earners as they are willing to donate a portion of their two months salary during this pandemic.

“Were told that all they  have agreed on a voluntary salary cut according to what they can afford.”

Sallehuddin wants to thank the civil servants on showing their solidarity with the people of Pahang who are less fortunate during these tough times.

Voicing their problems on a number of social media sites, The daily wage earners were the one most hit and doesn’t have the capability to buy essential items.

Menteri Besar Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail led the launched of Pahang Covid-19 Fund yesterday. Anyone can contribute through Pahang State Treasury, Bank Muamalat account No. 06010002165711 or digital apps PahangGo.
