The Democratic Party hopes that the National Mandate Party (PAN) can support the formation of the Jiwasraya Special Committee. Although the statement of PAN’s elected Chairman Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) is related to PAN’s political stance which tends to be gray.
Secretary of the Democratic Faction Treasurer Irwan said, even if PAN later decided to enter the government ranks, the Democrat did not question it because it was PAN’s political rights.
“In my opinion, the statement was merely a political message from him (Zulhas). Because de facto all this time PAN is indeed an opposition,” Irwan said, on Friday (14/2).
“Even if PAN enters the coalition then I think it’s PAN’s political right to determine,” added that Chair of the Democratic Party’s ESDM Department.

“Actually, the most important thing is that all parties really fight for the people, including in resolving the Jiwasraya problem which is detrimental to the people and the state of Rp. 16 trillion.
The same hope was conveyed by Democratic Party Politician Ferdinand Hutahaean, after returning to lead PAN Zulhas immediately ordered the PAN Faction in the DPR to join the Democrats to form the Jiwasraya Special Committee.
“That’s my biggest hope,” Ferdinand said.
