Megaworld, a real estate company, has planned to open its 19-storey, two-tower Grand Westside Hotel, the Philippines’ ‘biggest hotel,’ in Parañaque City by the end of the year.

Grand Westside Hotel, which will become the Philippines’ ‘biggest hotel,’ is set to be located in the 31-hectare Westside City township of Parañaque’s Entertainment City. It will consist of over 1,500 rooms in its 19-storey building. 

It will have Queen, Twin, and Executive Suites. It offers Twin Suites for specially-abled guests. It is designed specifically for their use. Reportedly, it will also offer a pool, a children’s pool, a gazebo, a Zen garden, and an outdoor seating area with flowers. 

Andrew Tan’s Megaworld Corporation will also offer function rooms that can host around 300 people. The corporation will also offer the fitness gym and massage rooms in the Grand Westside Hotel.

Reportedly, Cleofe Albiso, the managing director at Megaworld Hotels, said, “Grand Westside Hotel will become the biggest hotel property in our portfolio and in the entire country to date. It offers wonderful views of the Manila Bay sunset as well as the skylines of Makati, Manila, and Taguig City.”

Grand Westside Hotel’s first tower will reportedly open by the end of this year. The second tower will open in 2024. It will be Megaworld’s 19th hotel property. The company will invest around P64 billion to build the Westside City township. The corporation is also listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange Composite Index. 

The real estate corporation was founded by Andrew Tan and incorporated under Philippine law in 1989. In 1999, the corporation changed its name from the Megaworld Properties & Holdings Inc. to Megaworld Corporation.

Andrew Tan is the chairman of the Megaworld Corporation. The company has numerous developments across the Philippines, including malls, townships, hotels, resorts, gaming services and residential developments.
