PETALING JAYA – Sabah Parti Pribumi Bersatu is contesting for 45 of the 73 seats in the coming polls, says Datuk Seri Hajiji Mood Noor.
The Sabah Bersatu chairman said that the party will hold meeting in preparation for the incoming election of each state contituency.
Hajiji said that they will provide credible and capable candidate that will represent the party and who are able to win the seats.
Sabah Bersatu is also currently in talks with Umno, Perikatan Nasional and Barisan Nasional to take advantage of their strength to ensure victory in the polls.
He added that the party is focus on recovering the economy after the Covid-19 pandemic if given the opportunity to lead the country.
Sabah Bersatu will also prioritized the rights and interest of its people and the protection of the state.
Last Thursday, Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal confirmed the dissolution of the state assembly, paving for a state election to be held within 60 days. Dewan Rakyat last year approved to increase the seat of the state 60 to 73. Sabah Election Commission director Rohiman Rahia confirmed that 73 state seats will be in contention for the upcoming by-election.
