south korea evacuates 97 citizens from lebanon after rising middle east tensions

As tensions in the Middle East persist, South Korea has rescued 97 people and their relatives from Lebanon. Evacuation action was a result of heightened violence between Israel, Hezbollah, and Iran, which has brought more security threats from all ends. The rapidness in evacuation measures that South Korea has had to perform emphasizes the need to increase protection for its citizens in foreign countries.

Military Swift Action Ensures Safety

The South Korean government used the KC-330 military transport aircraft to evacuate its citizens from Lebanon. The evacuation included members from the other side, a relative from Lebanon, with South Koreans onboard and arrived safely at one of the country’s military airports in Seoul. This was a direct action done under direct order from President Yoon Suk Yeol, an action to muster a military protection for safe evacuation of South Koreans as tensions continue to rise.

For emphasis on the mission, a preventive measure, a C130J transport plane mainly used on short and hostile terrain was deployed in case of an attack. The number of militaries in the evacuation tally was 39, including mechanics and diplomats, and it shows that the government had planned and safe move.

Lebanon Crisis World Reaction

The crisis in Lebanon is not isolated from any country and South Korea is also affected. Britain and the U.S. have already initiated the process of making preparations to evacuate their citizens as has Australia. In this country up to now, there has been no large-scale military evacuation but others have chartering flights in the process of evacuating their nationals from the region.

The USA has also deployed its forces in Cyprus, ready for withdrawal if this is required. Australia has secured hundreds of airline seats for its people. While each day turns from worse to worse, countries like Japan and Germany for instance, make preparations to evacuate their nationals from Lebanon.
