Taylor Swift is apparently dating British artist Matty Healy, the frontman of the indie rock band The 1975, in a surprise change of events. Swift’s divorce from actor Joe Alwyn was well announced only a few months ago.
Swift and Healy met at a music festival in California, according to individuals close to the couple. They’ve been seen together at a number of occasions and have apparently been spending a lot of time together recently.
Swift and Healy fans have gone to social media to share their enthusiasm about the purported romance. Some speculate that the two may work together on new music in the future.
Swift, known for composing songs about her romances, has yet to respond to the claims. However, she has been seen wearing a t-shirt with The 1975’s logo, fueling speculation that the two are dating.
Healy, for one, has already expressed his adoration for Swift. In a 2018 Rolling Stone interview, he referred to her as “a modern-day Joni Mitchell” and lauded her songwriting ability.
If the rumors are accurate, Swift and Healy would make a formidable musical couple. Only time will tell if the two will formally acknowledge their connection, but in the meanwhile, fans can only hope for further hints and possibly new music from the couple.
