Thailand is set to host Group B of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers where India, Mongolia, Timor Leste and Iraq will compete for a coveted spot in the final tournament. Scheduled from June 23 to July 5, the matches will follow a centralized single round robin format ensuring a fair and competitive environment.

The AFC Women’s Asian Cup, Asia’s premier women’s football tournament, is set for its 21st edition in Australia from March 1 to 26, 2026. The tournament has expanded over the years with 12 teams now competing. Hosts Australia, China PR (defending champions), Korea Republic and Japan have already secured direct qualification. The remaining eight spots will be determined through the qualifiers match.

A total of 34 teams were drawn into eight groups with Group B featuring five teams. India, Thailand, Mongolia, Timor Leste and Iraq will battle it out with only the group winners advancing. The draw conducted in Kuala Lumpur was based on the FIFA Women’s World Ranking as of March 6, 2025.

Beyond continental glory the top six teams from the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 will qualify for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 in Brazil. With fierce competition expected in Thailand, Group B’s battle will be a key step for teams aiming for the global stage.
