Netflix is preparing for the release of its highly anticipated original medical drama, The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call. Starring Ju Ji-hoon as genius surgeon and former combat medic Baek Gang-hyeok, this K-drama is releasing on January 24.
The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call is expected to feature eight episodes. Netflix has described the protagonist Gang-hyeok as a genius trauma surgeon holding insanely high medical skills and an ego to match.
Dr Baek Gang-hyeok has tested his skills in different conflict zones across the globe. He has a lot of experience in addressing emergencies. This surgeon is confident, genius, smart and handsome – like a complete package of the best.
Throughout the trailer that released just recently, you can see hospital authorities expressing their concerns about Ju Ji-hoon’s character’s unorthodox techniques but are also sure he is going to pull through and that too pretty successfully.
The trauma team ultimately understands and accepts Dr Baek Gang-hyeok as their boss. The protagonist is looking to create a top-tier trauma centre. Let’s hope that the first original medical drama by Netflix justifies the hype it has created.
