A large number of visitors have flocked to this northeastern province’s Khao Yai National Park for a long holiday from Saturday to Tuesday causing heavy traffic along the road to the park.
From Saturday, vehicles carrying tourists from various parts of the country can be seen converging in a large number in the district of Pak Chong before heading to the National Park along Thanarat lane.
Traffic at the tollgate to the park is especially strong. Tourists take up accommodation at different locations within the park separately to get a complete view of the natural wonders and enjoy a breath of fresh air at the highlands campgrounds.
Also a favorite destination for tourists is in Wang Nam Khieo district, home to many popular natural attractions , restaurants and accommodation facilities. There’s heavy traffic along Highway 304 too.
More than 3,000 tourists visited the Khao Kradong Volcano Forest Park in nearby Buri Ram province each day. Popular attractions include the suspension bridge that allows visitors to see the beauty of an extinct volcano’s crater, approximately 265 meters above sea level.
For the visitors the forest park was revamped. Tourists have also reportedly flocked other tourist spots in the region, including Phu Thap Boek in Phetchabun.
