Timothy Nga, a Singaporean actor, passed away last week at the age of 49. His sister, Rina Nga, announced on Tuesday that an obituary for him had been placed on Instagram, stating that he had passed on the previous day (Jan 9).

It was never determined what caused his death.

In an Instagram post, the actor and presenter Gurmit Singh announced the passing of his friend, adding in the image’s description, “Gone too soon. Brother, may you finally rest in peace. Will never forget how much I miss you.”

Tay Ping Hui, an actor, provided his thoughts on Rina Nga’s statement. He penned the following: “It is always unfortunate when one of our own dies away. He was known for his quick grin and his soft touch with those around him at all times. My sincerest condolences Rina.”

The following is what Nga’s sister wrote as the description for her Instagram post: “My lovely brother, 10/6/73 – 9/1/23. Too soon, too young. lived it to the fullest and loved it beyond its capacity”

On stage, he has collaborated with a number of local theater organizations, such as Wild Rice, The Necessary Stage, and the Singapore Repertory Theatre.

In addition, he had a role in the movie Wet Season, which was directed by Anthony Chen.

Vernetta Lopez, a radio DJ who collaborated with Nga on the production of the children’s television programme Zero Hero, told the Straits Times, “It is very startling. Tim possessed a peaceful, compassionate, and generous nature throughout his whole life. Even though we were never really close, he was always the kindest, most kind, and most pleasant of men. That is how I shall remember him for the rest of my life.”

Those people who had the opportunity to interact with him in the course of his other employment as an executive coach and an emcee also took the time to post their sympathies and leave remarks on his profile. One user said in a post on the internet, “I had met Tim on a coaching course and really truly bonded with him… he was a beam of light.” Tim had passed away recently.
