KUALA LUMPUR – According to Perlis Mufti Datuk Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin, violating the regulation being implemented for Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order (TEMCO), is a major sin.
He claimed that such violation is not only wrong in law but also a big sin as it neglects the efforts of curbing the spread of the virus and at the same time endangering the lives of others. The violations is also against the teaching of Prophet Muhammad SAW.
Narrating a hadis by Abdurrahman Auf, Perlis Mufti also said that the Prophet had given instruction that there will be a cholera outbreak in some area and that the people should not allowed to leave their places while outsiders will be restricted to enter the area.
He added that the people need to obey TEMCO regulations as the government is trying its best to ensure the safety of its people. He also urged the people to follow the government’s regulation until the end of TEMCO.
Mohd Asri said that those who violated TEMCO are to be blamed for the spread of Covid-19. Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced today that they will be placing Kampung Kuala Sanglang and Kampung Tanah Timbul under TEMCO until August 31.
