Vitalik Buterin’s Kind Action towards Moo Deng Captures the Attention Globally

The Thailand internet went viral with the kind action of Ethereum Co-Founder, Vitalik Buterin who has donated 10 million baht to Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Thailand and to build a new home to the most popular pygmy hippopotamus Moo Deng. This graceful moment has been shared in the Facebook page of the Kha Moo and the Gang, they post the daily lives and updates of the Hippos in the  Khao Kheow Open Zoo.

“After the last time I bought Pad Krapow for you, this time Vitalik Buterik is donating 10,000,000 baht to the wildlife sponsorship project to build a new home for Moo Deng. See you at Moo Deng’s new home soon” – this was penned on the Facebook page of Khao Kheow Open Zoo

“We look forward to working with you over the next 2 years for the benefit of the Khao Kheow Open Zoo Community & all our visitors” said the Zoo

Around 1,600 square meters the zoo has planned to construct a new, world-class enclosure for the Moo Deng and an educational center about the hippos for the visitors.

Why Moo Deng?

In October 2024, Ethereum Co-Founder, Vitalik Buterin had sold out 10 billion Tokens which was created out of an inspiration from Moo Deng when he was a two month baby and an internet sensation. After the launch of the token it has earned $822,000 and Buterin decided to donate a significant portion to a charity which is dedicated to anti-airborne disease technology.
