There’s a high possibility you’ve seen Bondee all over social media by now; from pals displaying their lovely avatars to netizens showcasing their painted apartments, it’s safe to say that everyone is hooked with this new app. Continue reading if you’re curious about what all the fuss is about.
The Singaporean business Metadream Tech Pte. Ltd. has created a new social networking platform called Bondee. It is marketed as a “next-generation social networking software” with 3D characters that can be personalized to the user’s desire. You may also design rooms that resemble your own, or you can create your “dream” place! Consider it a combination of The Sims and Animal Crossing.
In addition to being able to personalize the appearance of your avatar, you can also control and inform your friends (aka neighbors) on what you’re doing or your mood (kind of like old-school Facebook status updates).
Users may also speak with their friends and participate in activities such as camping, picnicking, and clubbing. Additionally, your avatars may visit each other’s rooms and leave each other sticky notes. Super adorable!
Bondee is available for free download on the App Store (for iPhone and iPad users) and Google Play Store (for Android users).
Importantly, Bondee contains NFT and blockchain components. While the NFT functionalities have not yet been implemented into the app, its official privacy policy mentions their presence. Bondee’s non-fungible token (NFT) offers have not yet been disclosed.
After downloading the application, you will be asked to create an account with your phone number and a password. From there, you will be sent to the part for customizing your avatar, where you may choose from a variety of clothing, accessories, and random stuff to create your own mini-me.
Next, you may personalize your space with furniture, potted plants, miscellaneous trinkets, posters, and picture frames (where you can upload actual photos from your gallery). You may also select from a range of backdrops and flooring options for your space.
After customizing your place, you may invite up to fifty pals. You have the option of searching for their usernames or uploading their QR codes. Once they have been added, you may begin speaking with them. You may also choose from a variety of emotions and acts that will effect both of your avatars. These include lounging on a couch, bean bag, office chair, box, CTRL key, jelly pudding, and even a toilet. You and your companion may also sit together, camp, have a picnic, dance on swings, and hang out on swings.
Once you’ve added a number of pals, clicking the “Neighbors” option will allow you to view your room and theirs in a manner like a cross-section of an apartment building.
